Our mission is to empower marginalized and underprivileged communities in Odisha by promoting sustainable urban and rural development through education, skill-building, health awareness, and community-based initiatives. We work to eradicate hunger, combat preventable diseases, and ensure access to basic rights and opportunities for all. By fostering social justice, environmental responsibility, and inclusive growth, MFU seeks to build a society where every individual can live with dignity, security, and purpose. We are committed to nurturing leadership at the grassroots level, strengthening civil society, and bridging local aspirations with global progress to create a harmonious, resilient, and enlightened human community.

Movement For Urbanization envisions a civil society in Odisha where every individual, regardless of background or circumstance, lives a vibrant and fulfilling life marked by joy, peace, justice, and unwavering human dignity. We dream of communities free from the fear of hunger, disease, and marginalization — where people are not only healthy and secure, but also enlightened, self-reliant, and empowered to shape their own futures. MFU strives for a society where development is inclusive, sustainable, and deeply rooted in local realities, yet forward-looking and connected in harmony with the broader, global human community.
